2 weeks of visiting Family!

Well we left for an adventure with my 4 year old and 2 year old for 2 weeks in the Gatineau, QC and Ottawa, ON areas! It was very hectic and exhausting traveling with two kids. So much to bring and everything to help distract them so they wouldn't bother others on the plane. It wouldn't be to much of a hard trip if we didn't have to also drive 3 hours to the airport. It was really nice to see family but wish we didn't have to go back and forth to see people. I having to drive around to visit everyone when I already travel 3 hours in the car to the airport, then almost 4 hours on a plane would have loved if people came to visit me instead. It would have made it easier on me and the kids. Since it was just me and my kids. My parents help out a lot but was hoping a little more from the rest of my family. They could have made a slight effort to come see us where we were staying. Some were wonderful and played with my kids and others could have cared less. My parents get to see my kids whenever they want we leave near each other. I was at an event at fed my kids supper and they sat for like 5 minutes and then they ran off to play. I did not get a chance to eat. Everyone else was socializing and having a blast. Me on the other hand had to watch my children and another kid added to the mix, which left me not  having fun. I may have some emails later if anyone in my family reads my blog but I need to vent because I have never been able to say any of this to peoples faces. I usually suck it up. We spend a lot of money on plane tickets which is not cheap and a rental vehicle to get all of us around, plus gas to visit everyone. Next time I come up , I will stay at my grand parents house and they can all come see me instead. Once home I was so tired and exhausted from my trip that I didn't do much which is not a good thing because laundry is pilled up, the housework not done as good as it should be. I love my families but wish they would think of all the things that others go through to please all of them.
